Hanoi with hundreds of handicrafts

Hanoi is also called the "land of hundreds of jobs" because of its many ancient traditional craft villages. They perpetuate the rich cultural and historical values of great originality, factors of choice for the development of tourism in the capital. Hanoi currently has 244 traditional crafts.

Today, traditional craft villages are a destination of choice for tourists. In addition to their discovery and purchase of their products, they have indeed the opportunity to meet their craftsmen, and even to learn their techniques.

In recent years, the Bat Trang ceramic village, Van Phuc silk, lacquer Thai Ha... have become iconic sites.

According to Tran Xuan Viet, Vice President of Hanoi People's Committee, the development of these villages and their tourism can promote their economic development, and thus improve the living conditions of their inhabitants as to enhance local traditions.

However, their infrastructure does not meet the standards required for the development of Vietnam tourism , as regards, for example, access roads and sanitation. In addition, the release of these villages pollute the water, air and soil of their surroundings that are densely populated. Although most of the villages are small, manufacturing technologies, completely overwhelmed, cause serious pollution.

Faced with this situation, Hanoi strives to develop six of these villages during the 2012-2015 period by investing 126 billion VND. The beneficiaries are the villages of Phu Vinh handicrafts (Chuong My District) and Son Dong (Hoai Duc District), Bat Trang ceramics - Kim Lan (Gia Lam district), Van Phuc silk ( Ha Dong district), and sculpture Du Du (Thanh Oai district).

Similarly, training of staff and promotion of tourism will be made during this period.

Strange feeling of Hanoi from American blogger

Sarah, female blogger from Texas, USA who cannot hide his surprise at the strange things that she encountered while living in Vietnam.

If you are prepared to travel to Vietnam, let's take some time to read this interesting articles.
I like cycling around the Hanoi after 2am because there are so many interesting things to explore in this period. First of all, I feel very safe, totally opposed to the American city at night. In Hanoi, I could see the old man and woman drinking tea, a group of boys are playing something on the way…

Hanoi at night quiet and peaceful.

On holidays, the full moon, it’s easy to catch landscape burning fake money on the street. According to the opinion of the Vietnamese, your relatives in stream where gold will get the money to spend.
The money could be in VND, USD, looks a lot like the real thing. Look I see on the bill the words " Bank of Hell " printed on them. Not just burning money, the Vietnamese people burned everything else, from the houses, cars, motorcycles, until Apple 's latest iPhone model.

On the street, I find Vietnamese women dress very sexy. What amazes me is not only the young women and even older ladies like to dress this way. Another common type of dress, casual, it's pajamas.

The peddler  images are very popular in Vietnam. But I still cannot not surprised to see a bike with goldfish in the back. I would love to see them.

Can see a lot of animals on the streets of Hanoi. First, since the dogs, they are usually jog on the sidewalk as if to no one. The chickens roam harvesting paddy in the crowded. The small bird cage hanging in many places.

Game of " hide and seek " between the police and the dealer is also very strange. Normally, the shops usually tables and chairs spill out sidewalk. When you see the shadow of the police, often at a certain time, everything will collapse in a flash. Many customers have to hold your drink stand on the street confused. As soon as the police absent, everything returned to the same.

Children in Hanoi are often hired to do an odd job : invite customer for the restaurant. They usually stand along the road to greet each to see the car run. If the motorcycle is, when they jump into the middle of the road to block, or keep the vehicle from the rear to the car to stop and restaurants. This is both annoying and funny.

Like many other countries, the Vietnamese love their football. But how to celebrate their victory is not the same one. Whenever the Vietnamese team won an important battle, all the streets in the center will be transformed into a sea of red and motorcycles.

They parade... There are all kinds of different sounds such as car horns, beating the pot or pots or chants " Vietnam Champion ".

Another passion of the Vietnamese people were singing. Karaoke bars springing up in many places, and when he sings, it seems like everyone will lose all its sense. Not only sing with the volume all the way in the karaoke bar, I find they can sing a carefree while you are typing, when sitting in a car, walking on the street...

The children Viet Nam very stubborn. They usually run around the house to be fed. I came across the scene of her nanny chasing kids around town to spoon feed five five on hand. So that the Vietnamese have invented a high chair fixed to the " little monsters " into a site every time you feed them. This makes life a little easier.

Vietnam market, there are a lot of strange things, like the bottle of wine contains everything hard to imagine inside as snakes, geckos, insects, roots... There are two fruits that I have never seen the world.
